What information we collect about you
When you make a purchase, sign up for an account, make a comment, leave a review, or log in through our site we may collect, but not limited to, name, address, phone number, fax, email, username, password, company name (if needed), and credit card information.
While you visit our site, we’ll track:
- Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
- Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
- Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for at least 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

Who on our team has access
Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both
Administrators and Shop Managers can access:
- Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
- Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.
Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.
When you use our site, we may obtain information that you never give physically. And It won’t identify you personally, but we do collect other information such as log files, cookies, and web beacons.
Like many other Web sites, Kitty Cat Apparel makes use of log files. These files merely logs visitors to the site – usually a standard procedure for hosting companies and a part of hosting services’s analytics. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. This information is used to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses, and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.
The IP address of visitors, user ID of logged in users, and username of login attempts are conditionally logged to check for malicious activity and to protect the site from specific kinds of attacks. Examples of conditions when logging occurs include login attempts, log out requests, requests for suspicious URLs, changes to site content, and password updates. This information is retained for 40 days.
Almost all web browsers already have the setting to accept cookies. But if you want, you have the ability to disable cookies in your web browser. We don’t advise turning off your cookies. In doing so, might turn off some features on our site that helps us personalize your viewing experience. Like, the ability to monitor traffic and the ability to personalize what you see on our site.
Some forms on this site require the use of Google’s reCAPTCHA service before they can be submitted. If you consent to use Google’s reCAPTCHA service, a cookie is created that stores your consent. This cookie deletes itself after thirty days.

When signing up for an account, making a purchase, leaving a comment, and/or any of other ways you may use your personal information on our site and you made a mistake and/or want to delete any information regarding your personal information, please contact us using our contact page and we will make sure to fix and/or delete anything regarding your personal information.
When you order a product, you may have to provide your name, company (optional), mailing address, shipping address (mailing address will be used as default if not provided), phone number, email address, to create an account if you want (username and password), and credit card information. This information will be saved on our database to provide you with a better experience for ordering products to be shipped the product, payment, and more. WE DO NOT SAVE OR STORE CREDIT CARD INFORMATION ON OUR DATABASE (more information about how credit cards can be found below).
You may sign up for an account by visiting our my account or when you purchase a product. When you sign up for one, you may need to provide a username, an email address, and a password. You don’t have to provide a personal address to sign up for one. However, you may need to provide your personal address when purchasing a product from our site and will be saved to your account when you do so.
We use accounts to show you your recent orders, to manage your shipping and billing addresses, and to edit your password and account details when need be. You may receive the following email if sign up for an account; new account when you first sign up, to reset your password incase you forgot yours or you want a new one, a customer note when we add a personal note to an order, an order detail for information about their order, a refund email to confirm you receive a refund, a completed order email to indicate that order has been shipped, a processing order email containing order details, and an order on-hold email.
Only logged-in customers who bought the product can leave a review. This ensures that we know you’re a verified customer and not a bot or spammer.
When you leave a comment, we will ask you for your name, email address, and website (if you own one). If you decide you don’t want this information on our site anymore, you can contact us by using our contact page and we will delete the following information from our database once we confirm it’s you.
You may use our contact page to get support for any question you may have about site and/or orders. You may have to provide a name and email address in order to send us a email for support.
Disclosure of personal information
We may share personal information with companies that we’re affiliated to. In order to function correctly, these companies may need the personal information you provide us. Such as companies that provide support to help this site function correctly. All the companies that do share personal information with us will be stated blow.
As we grow as a company, we might sell our business/assets or buy other businesses/assets. In the event of a business transaction, personal information may be a part of the assets in trade. If so, you’ll be contacted before this happens and if you don’t want your personal information to be apart the trade, you can do so by contacting us. If you don’t contact us by 14 business days, we will make the following trade and will assume you don’t mind us doing the trade.
When requesting us to delete information, we will do our absolute best to delete it off the site’s database. But due to legal activities, we hold the right to hold some personal information for at least 7 years for our records. For example, let’s say you brought a product from our site. Information, such as when you brought it, where it’s being sent to, when it’s being shipped, and what you purchase, will be save on our site’s database. But due to tax obligations, we need to hold the information about the purchase on hand. And we are legal bound to hold that information for at least 7 year to the date.
We also reserve the rights to disclose personal information and other information from you when it’s required for us to protect ourselves or comply by law or judicial proceeding. Kitty Cat Apparel may disclose personal information in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) defend the rights and property of Kitty Cat Apparel; (b) act to protect the personal safety of the visitors/users of our site or public, or (c) protect against legal liability.
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. You can do so by using our contact page.
We do not hold your personal information for longer than is necessary; when we no longer have any use for your data, your data is deleted.
Disclosure of credit card information
Any credit card information will be sent through a SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology connection to safe guard any credit card information you send through our site. We also don’t store any credit card information on our servers or database. And we will never see any credit card information on our end. This ensures the security of any credit card theft that may take place. And if, by any misfortune, our site does get hacked or there’s a breach, you can be sure that your credit card information will be safe, because it will stored on third party server, which will be stated below. On that note, we do take security very important, and we go above and beyond to secure your information on our site and off from ever being hacked, which will be talked about more below.
Who we share your data with
Kitty Cat Apparel uses features from other third party businesses, such as email marketing, maintenance, and analytics. When you sign up for a newsletter, we will only give the information that’s necessary for the third party to function correctly. Every third party that we’re affiliated to will use your personal information for only what it was intended for, nothing else.
When your personal information is shared, you may be notified when it occurs. You will be able to prevent this information from being shared if you please. Also, if you want to change or delete your personal information for any reason at all, you can either use a feature on our site or by contacting us using the email above.

We believe it is important to provide added protection for children online. We encourage parents and guardians to spend time online with their children to observe, participate in and/or monitor and guide their online activity. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian believes that has in its database the personally-identifiable information of a child under the age of 13, please contact us immediately (using the contact in the first paragraph) and we will use our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
We use reasonable security measures to protect personal information under our control. Personal information is protected using an encrypted SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology. So for example, if you comment on a post or send an email through our site, all information will be stored in a secured database and when it’s sent through the web server and browser, it will remain private. However, no internet or email transmission is ever 100% secure.
We also take reasonable measures to protect against DOS attacks against our website.
Your California Privacy Rights
California Civil Code Section 179.83 authorizes California residents to have the right to request certain information from a business who discloses their personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. To request this information, please contact us using our contact page.
